Y., April 29, 1844. When about 20 years of age she came with her father, Rev. John Thomas, to Lebanon township, Clinton county, Michigan. July 4, 1866, she was united in marriage to Amos A. Moore, Rev. Wm. Colby, now of Owosso, performing the ceremony. When a young girl she united with the M. E. Church on probation. She has been a member of O. H. Reed corps No. 78 since July 3, 1891 and although in poor health has been making quilts and knitting for the Red Cross. She was only confined to her bed a week and died Jan. 18. Her entire life since marriage has been lived within a few rods of the house in which she was married. She is survived by two sons, Rev. A. A. Moore of Central City, Iowa, and Ernest P. Moore of Hubbardston; and one daughter, Mrs. Lillie E. Hawkins of Muir. They were all present at the services, also a relative, David F. Thomas, of Hartford, Mich. The services were held at the home Tuesday at 1 p.m., Rev. W. S. Phillips officiating.
