Lake Odessa Wave, 22 Apr 1904

P. N. Moore, the newly elected president of the village of Portland died at his 
home in that village, last Saturday night.  Mr. Moore contracted his last 
illness while working in the performance of his duties as president of the 
village.  He was well known to the county people, having held many positions of 
trust.

In 1869 he came to Sebewa, where he taught school winters and worked at the 
carpenter trade summers, and there, during the same year he was married to 
Angie D. Taylor, who survives him, one son, their only child, having died in 
infancy.  In 1872 Mr. Moore removed to Portland, where he has since resided.
