The son of Charles H. and Lila May Osburn Moore, he was born on June 24, 1933, in Ferris Township. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Harold served in Germany during the Korean War era. He retired from the Ionia County Road Commission after 22 years of service as a mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushrooming. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta Lee White Moore; two brothers, Lloyd and Paul; two sisters, Doris and Virginia; and his longtime friend and companion, Grace Manley. He is survived by his children, Roger Lee and Vicki Moore of Zephyrhills, Fla., Brenda and Brian Ritenburgh of Orleans, Daniel Lee and Violet Moore of Muir, Kristine Moore of Belding; seven grandchildren, Justin Vargo, Alex Creighton, Megan Ditmar, Shayla Moore, Seth Moore, Ryan Ritenburgh and Eric Ritenburgh; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside committal services are at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at East Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville, with military honors provided by the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101. Instead of flowers, Harold would have appreciated memorial contributions to the American Lung Association. The Brown-Teman and Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is entrusted with the arrangements and is serving the family.
