Moore, 72, of Lakeview, passed away Monday, Nov. 18, 2002, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus, Grand Rapids. He was born in Ionia, the son of Floyd and Helen Trowbridge Moore. He grew up in the Lakeview area and graduated from Lakeview High School with the class of 1949. He continued his education at Bay City Junior College for two years. Bud joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1954 and was stationed in Barstow, Calif., until his discharge in 1957. He married JoAnn Rodebaugh on March 24, 1962, in Lakeview. She was the love of his life for more than 40 years. Bud was employed as a lab technician and foreman at Belding Products for more than 28 years and retired in 1987. Bud loved camping and drawing cartoon caricatures. Many of his drawings were published as the cartoon “Seymour” in the Lakeview Enterprise, Greenville Daily News and Big Rapids papers. He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Clyde, who died as an infant; brother, Danny; and two sisters, Robin Brandt and Pat Saylor. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Moore; two sons and their wives, Dan and Lisa Moore of Collinsville, Okla., Dennis and Cathy Moore of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren, Travis, Joshua, Nicholas, Nathan and Clare; three sisters and brother-in-law, Peggy and Tom Roberts of Belmont, Cheryl Patterson of Montrose, Terry Sporcic of Brant; and a brother, Andy Moore of Colorado. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Lakeview Baptist Church, Lakeview, with Pastor Zane Abberger officiating. Burial is in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lakeview Baptist Church building fund.
