Ionia Standard – Friday, 25 July 1890
The remains of Mrs. Ellen Moore were brought here from St. Johns on Monday, 
and after funeral services at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. W. Stone, 
were conveyed to Oak Hill cemetery, where they were given a last earthly 
resting place beside her first husband, Southwick Merritt.
The services at the house were conducted by Rev. A. M. Gould, who was assisted 
by Rev. A P. Moors and Rev. J. J. Phelps.  Mrs. Geo. H. Allured and Mrs. Henry 
Cheney, both of Ionia, are sisters of the deceased.
