May 27, 2018 Excerpts from Obituary: Ivah Moore-died May 22, 2018-age 98 at Byron Center Born December 14, 1919 to John and Ida (Hazel) Stalter on "Stalter Centennial Farm", in lake Odessa. Preceding Ivah in death were five brothers, Emerson, Galien, William (Bill), Lee( Peewee) and Lloyd (Stub), and one sister, Hazel (Varney). After high school, moved to Howell, then to Ypsilanti, where she Worked at the "Bomber" Plant during WW II building fighter air craft. After the War, moved to Grand Rapids where she met & married Dan Moore, when he was attending Grand Rapids University, (now Davenport). May 1946 moved to Big Rapids where Dan finished Pharmacy School. In 1952, Ivah & Dan opened their Own Pharmacy "Moore's Drugs" in Byron Center. Build a new home in 1954 where Ivah resided until very recently. Purchased cottage on Cobb Lake in 1959 for Summer & Winter fun. Both retired in 1984 & wintered in Lakeland, Florida for golfing, fishing, swimming, where she played competitive golf until she was 90. Preceded in death by husband in 2006 and daughter-in-law Jill Johnson Moore in 2009. Survivors are son Bob & daughter-in-law of TX., son Jim of Gunn Lake, grand-daughter, grand-son & special helpful Neighbor, Linda Hibma,. On request, no funeral or memorial service.
