Ms. Hazel Moore of Belding died Wednesday evening at 10 o'clock at the 
Eckert Nursing Home in Ionia. She was 58 years old. She had been in ill 
health for eight years and a patient at the Eckert Nursing Home since August 
7, 1953.

Mrs. Moore was a lifelong resident of Ionia county and had lived in Belding 
for the past 33 years.

She was born in Clarksville on December 16, 1894, the daughter of Mayferd 
and Claudia Heaven. She had also been a resident of Orleans.

She was married to Ransom Moore on November 29, 1916 at Clarksville. Her 
husband survives her and is a patient at the Eckert Nursing Home. He was 
former superintendent of the Belding water works.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Walter Skillen and Mrs. Clayton 
Winger, both of Greenville; a son, Delton, of Belding; and a sister, Mrs. 
Edna Lott of Elmdale. 

Mrs. Moore was a member of the Belding Rebecca lodge, of which she was past 
Noble Grand, and a past district deputy of the Rebecca lodge. She was a 
member of the Christian Science church of Belding. 

The body is at the Fales-Huffman funeral home in Belding. Services will be 
announced later. Burial will be in River Ridge cemetery.
