Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday February 2, 1939

TWINS OF MR. AND MRS CLYDE MOORE KILLED AT SPARTA

Thelma and Thiel Moore, 16 years old twins of Mr and Mrs Clyde Moore, of Sparta, 
were instantly killed and another son dean, 14, was critically injured Monday 
morning when a north bound Pere Marquette passenger train struck their 
automobile at the Ball Creek crossing, two miles north of Sparta while they were 
en route to school, during the blizzard.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday (today) at the First Baptist church in 
Sparta.

The mother, Mrs.Moore, will be remembered as Miss Thelma Snyder formerly of Lake 
Odessa and is the daughter of Mrs.Lee Lehman who lives on M-14 in Sebewa 
Township.
