                    Young Boy Drowns At Deer Lake

Little 19 month old Robert David Moore, son of Mr.and Mrs.Claude Moore of deer 
Lake, was drowned Saturday evening near their home wile playing with his two 
year old brother, Carl, at the edge of a gravel pit and he slid on the bank into 
the water-filler hole. Little Carl reported the accident to his parents, who 
recovered the body and notified Montcalm and Kent County sheriffs; offices and 
State police. They administered artificial respiration and used a pulmotor but 
efforts to save the child's life failed.

Robert David was born November 9, 1946, at Greenville and lived with his parents 
at Deer Lake, west of Greenville. For several months the family had lived in Big 
Rapids were Mr.Moore was attending school and ad returned to their Deer Lake 
home only a week earlier. The little boy is survived by his parents and brother; 
his grandmother, Mrs.Edith Moore, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and 
Mrs.Peter Pennock, of Stanton. funeral services were held Monday at the Ellis 
Funeral Home, Rev.H.S. Ellis officiating, and burial was in River Ridge 
cemetery.
