Ionia Shopper's Guide - Saturday April 26, 2025

                 MOORE

Rodger Frederick Moore, age 85, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 
19,2025, from his home in Belding. Born on March 29, 1940, in Ionia, he was the 
son of Raymond and Lucille (Houseman) Moore. Following his graduation from high 
school, Rodger entered the United States Army and served with the U.S. Army 
Airborne 101 unit On May 10, 2009, he married his wife Lilia in the Philippines. 
He was a long-time iron worker in the construction field. Rodger also served as 
a lay pastor, who was an adamant believer of Jesus. He made it a point to share 
his faith with others and to encourage them to find Jesus in their own lives.

For enjoyment, he loved to ride motorcycles and was experienced with cutting 
down trees, always offering people a fair price.

Rodger will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lilia; daughter Michelle Moore; 
son, Anthony Moore; stepsons, Lean-Karlo A. Tality, Benjamin A. Catindig, and 
Jan Mei A. Tality, Abelardo A. Tality III.,step-daughter, Glan Paola A. Tality; 
many grandchidlren and good friends.

He was preceded death by his parents; brothers, Gerald and Rodney; and sister, 
Pam.

A time to celebrate Rodger's life was held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 11:00 
AM at the Shiloh Community Church, Pastor James Floyd officiated.Visitation took 
place one hour before the service. A luncheon at the church followed the 
service.

Rodger's cremated remains will be taken to the Philippines by his wife for 
entombment.
