Moore, died Friday morning at 6:30 o’clock. He was thought to be showing evidences of improvement all day Thursday, until late, when hemorrhages from the lungs seized him. Mr. Moore was aged 25 years and was born in Ionia township. He was always a vigorous physique, but an illness of typhoid fever, which developed some five weeks ago, with lung complications, carried him off. Deceased was of a genial and generous disposition, and numbered many warm friends in Ionia who were sorely grieved at the early morning announcement of his death. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Moore, and a brother of Miss Valeria and Guy W., all of whom, with the bereaved wife, survive him. The death at his young age comes with awful force upon the parents and friends of the deceased. It is among the mysteries why a man should live to the age of promise and then be taken. We may wonder, but all this is mere speculation. We know nothing; we can only hope. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks, and was up to sixty days ago a member of the Royal Arcanum. The funeral of Ross H. Moore was very largely attended from his late home, corner of Union St., and Lincoln avenue, on Sunday afternoon, and the service was one of more than usual impressiveness. The discourse at the home was by the Rev. W. K. Spencer, D.D., and the music was by the Presbyterian choir. At the grave the beautiful ritual service of the Elks was read, and the music here was also furnished by the above choir. The carriers were brother Elks: Henry F. Voelker, Henry J. Horrigan, S. C. L. Brown, Art. A. Baxter, Walter T. smith, and Alfred R. Locke.
