Moore, 81-year-old Ionia township pioneer, who died at the home of her son, Jacob Moore on Lafayette street, Saturday night at 11:40 o'clock, following an illness of four weeks. Mrs. Moore, who had lived in Ionia township for 65 years, came to Ionia city to live on North Jackson street nine years ago. She was born in Pennsylvania April 15, 1856, the daughter of Mr. and Ms. William Dunn, March 23, 1887, she was married to John H. Moore in Ionia. Mr. Moore died in 1930. Mrs. Moore had been an active member of the Ionia Methodist church for many years and was one of the charity members for the First Methodist church in Ionia when it was located on North Kidd street, opposite the post office. She is survived by the three sons, Jacob of Ionia, Ralph of Ionia township and Lawrence of Fowler, two brothers, John Dunn of Indiana and Arthur Dunn of Ada. There are seven granddaughters and the one grandson. Burial will be at the Highland Park cemetery and Rev. V. A. Kendrick of Grand Rapids, will officiate. Rev. Kendrick was a former Ionia minister.
