The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, October 28, 1971


Mrs. Florence B. Moorhead, 70, of route 2, Sheridan, died Wednesday afternoon 
at Untied Memorial hospital in Greenville.  Born in Evergreen township, 
Montcalm county, August 3, 1901, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 
Scott.

She was a former resident of Ionia moving to Sheridan in 1959.  A member of 
Women of the Moose, Ionia chapter, she also belonged to Rebekah lodge of 
Ionia.  She was married to Clyde E. Moorhead in 1919 and he died in 1967.

She is survived by a son, Raymond of route 2, Sheridan; daughter, Mrs. Russell 
Wolverton of Gowan; five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; and a sister, 
Mrs. Fred Eitniear of Lansing.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Stebbins funeral home in 
Sheridan.  Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.  Family will be at the 
funeral home Thursday and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.  A memorial has been 
established for either Ionia or Montcalm American Cancer society.
