Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 13 Aug 1962

Funeral service was held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at Myers funeral home for
Mrs. Leta V. Moorhead, 63, 5257 15th street, Detroit, who died early Friday
morning following a heart attack.  She had been in ill health 10 years.  A
former resident of Ionia, Mrs. Moorhead moved to Detroit with her husband, John,
17 years ago.  He died two years later.

Mrs. Moorhead is survived by three sons, William A., and Francis M. Moorhead of
Detroit, and Walter J. Moorhead of Rockford; four daughters, Mrs. Irma P.
Grosso, Mrs. Norma M. Guy and Mrs. Velma Lou Olive of Detroit, and Mrs. Esther
E. Martin of Campbell, Calif.; 23 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Effie
Green and Mrs. Ruby Adams of Portland.

Elder Roy Churchill, of the Seventh-day Adventist church, officiated and burial
was in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.
