Moran, 75, of Belding passed away Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at his home. He was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Belding, the son of Paul and Loretta White Moran. Jack retired after many years of service with the United States Postal Service. He graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1949. He proudly served his country during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 203, VFW Post 4406 of Belding, St. Patrick Catholic Church in Parnell and the National Arbor Day Foundation. Jack loved to play cards with his friends at the American Legion and at his home. He will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Jack was married June 26, 1954, in Wayland, to Ann Catherine Kovac. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann, in January 1987; and his parents. Jack is survived by his children, Patrick Moran of Edmore, Mary Miller of Comstock Park, Kathy and Leroy Day of Edmore, Amy and Mike Moran of Belmont, Tom and Ranay Moran of Delton, Terry and Marie Moran of Lake Villa, Ill., Dave Moran of Palm Bay, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and one on the way; two great-grandchildren; and brothers and sister, Jim Moran of Charlotte, Bill Moran of Twin Lake, Dan and Joan Moran of Belding, Mary and Bud Mumby of Greenville. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Parnell, with Father Rock Badgerow presiding. Interment is in St. Joseph Cemetery, Belding. The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Thursday with a rosary prayed at 8 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
