Met his wife Ann in the 1950's at the Belrockton Dance Hall. Married 1954. Graduated Belding High School. Moved to Charlotte 10 years after marriage. Served in the Army, stationed in Germany. Retired from Sear-Roebuck in East Lansing after 35 years as a mechanic. Jim loved watching sports on TV, especially the Detroit Tigers. Enjoyed Westerns, especially Gunsmoke, and John Wayne movies. Jim enjoyed coffee at Burger King or McDonalds with Friends. He loved his family & was proud of the kids & grandkids. Survived by his children; Pat (Dale) McGilvra, Sandy (David) Valade, Denise (Jim) Emede, Colleen (Edward) Osario, Marcy (Tim) Kozerski, Paul (Jodi) Moran, and Christy Moran; grandchildren, Jason (Andrea) McGilva, Bill & Ashley McGilvra, Jordan Emede, Leslie, Michelle & Jim Osario, Michael, Steven & Katie Kozerski, Shaull, Chloe and Kenley McGilvra, Hailey Armas, and Jace Quiroga; sister, Mary Mumby; brothers, William Moran and Dan Moran; and many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Ann, brother, Jack and his parents. Mask & Distancing guidelines will be practiced. Funeral services Tuesday August 25, 2020 at 11 PM in Pray Funeral Home gardens in Charlotte with Laura Cooper Officiating. Visitation Monday, August 23, 2-4 Pm & 6-8 PM.at the funeral home. The funeral service will be webcast, to be watched on any computer, smartphone or mobile device with internet service. Memorials contributions to leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
