The Ionia Standard, Friday, October 9, 1885

On Tuesday, Sept. 29th, Mr. David Morgan dropped dead on the steps of his 
house.  He had been as well as usual during the forenoon, but had been for a 
long time in quite feeble health.  He was 76 years of age.  The funeral 
services were held at the Union church at North Plains, Wednesday, 2 o’clock.  
The sermon was preached by Rev. Wm. R. Warner, of Palo.
