September 3, 2022 KEVIN LEE MORGAN Kevin Lee Morgan of Grand Rapids, MI went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at the age of 72. Kevin was born on February 18, 1950 to Bert and Ellen (Whipple) Morgan in Ionia, MI. Kevin was preceded in death by his wife Barbara; brothers, Keith and Kelly Morgan and both of his parents. He is survived b his three children, Melissa (Douglas) Baker of Delton, Melody(Steve) Meisenbach of Greenville, SC, and Kevin/Cubby Lucas Morgan of Grand Rapids; his two sisters,Kay Barbara of Battle Creek and Kristina Case of Delton; five grandchildren, Griffin Boyes, Samantha and Jack Baker, and Kullan and Kaden Morgan along with his extended family Lori Decamp and her two sons Justin and Jeremiah Decamp and two grandsons Rian and Jacoby. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Kevin spent his early years in Saranac where he attended kindergarten.His family then moved to Augusta where he lived until the end of his Junior year of high school.There he was a football and wrestling star at Galesburg Augusta High School and was a member of the 1966 and 1967 state championship teams.He was inducted into the Galesburg Augusta Athletic Hall of Fame.It was also in August that he met the love of his life, Barbara Jean McConnell who he was married to from 1968 until her death in 2004. In 1968 his family moved to Delton where Kevin graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1969. Kevin began work for Clark Equipment in Battle Creek after high school where he worked until 1985. He lived in Hastings most of his adult life with his wife and children. He had a love for animals from an early age and also loved to wheel and deal his collection of everything! He was a member of the Delton Moose Lodge where he was an officer and governor for many years.He loved to sing, dance, and play cards. Many considered him to be one of the best euchre players around. He will be missed by many family and friends. Come join his family to celebrate his life on Thursday, Sept.8, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Delton Moose Lodge.
