The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, November 24, 1947
Mrs. Alma A. Morgan, 59, died at the home at 9:50 o’clock Monday morning.  She 
was born in Sebewa township July 23, 1888, the daughter of Salem and Anna 
Ostrander.  She married Bert J. Morgan January 3, 1906 in Ionia.  They lived 
in Lyons and Portland before moving to their present address where they have 
lived for the past 27 years.

Surviving her besides her husband are five sons, Lesley at home, Clarence of 
South Lyons, Olen of Ionia, Robert of Newaygo and Bert Jr., at home; three 
daughters, Mrs. Robert Gee of Muir, Mrs. Alfred Kohagen at home and Mrs. 
Vernon Kohagen of Fowler; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Salem Ostrander of 
Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Furnish of Ovid and Mrs. Ruth Marsh of Keego 
Harbor.  One other son, Henry, who was a member of the U.S. army air corps, 
died March 27, 1944.

The date of the service has not yet been set.  The Rev. A. J. Westmaas will 
officiate and interment will be in Highland Park cemetery.
