The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, June 14, 1972

A lifelong Portland resident Gerald J. Moriarity of Lookingglass road, 
Portland, died Wednesday morning at his home.  He was born July 17, 1907, in 
Portland.

His wife, Helen, preceded him in death March of 1972.

Survivors include two sons, James of Muir and Michael of Lansing; seven 
daughters, Jo Anne Moriarity of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Lois Lowe of 
Portland, Mrs. Sharon Mason of Lansing, Mrs. Kathleen Gregg of Lake Odessa, 
Mrs. Carol Smith of Lansing, Martha and Monica Moriarity of Lansing; 10 
grandchildren; stepmother, Mrs. Kate Moriarity of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic church in 
Portland.  Fr. Joseph Malewitz will officiate and interment will be at 
Portland cemetery.  Rosary will be recited Thursday at 8 p.m. at Neller 
funeral home in Portland.
