His health had not been the best for several months, but his sudden passing was a shock to his family and his many friends and acquaintances. Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic church Friday morning at 9:30. Mr. Moriarty was born in this vicinity, the son of Jerry Moriarty. He had spent his entire lifetime in this locality and was a well known resident. When a young man he married Miss Katherine Conklin, whose death occurred 10 years ago. Her funeral was held on the same day of the month that Mr. Moriarty passed away. To this union were born two sons, Ralph and Gerald, who survive. Several years after death of his first wife Mr. Moriarty married Miss Katherine O’Connor, of Portland. She survives. A year ago Mr. Moriarty suffered a severe illness and since that time his heart had been troublesome. Tuesday he made several trips out to the barn, where men were putting up hay, and had driven his auto. Coming in at the noon hour he collapsed. Besides the widow and two sons there are two brothers and two sisters. The former are John and Michael Moriarty, of Portland, and the latter are Mrs. Martin Palmer, of Portland, and Mrs. Patrick Long, of Fowler. Pallbearers will be nephews of the deceased. They are Edward J. Long, James Long, Dan Moriarty, Henry Leik, George Leik, and Jerry Leik.
