MARGARET MORIARTY 1921-2016
Margaret Moriarty, age 95, of Portland, MI passed away September 21, 2016 in 
Portland, MI. She was born in Old Mission, MI on August 30, 1921, the daughter 
of John and Blanche (Helferich) Colerick.

Margaret married William J. Moriarty on September 30, 1944. He preceded her in 
death in 1984.

Margaret was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in nPortlnad. She loved to 
study family genealogy.

Margaret is survived by her children Teresa Thompson of Portland, MI and Patrick 
(Sallie) Moriarty of Vermontville, MI; 7 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 
1 great-great-granddaughter. She preceded in death by her parents; husband; two 
sons Michael J. and William D. "Rock"; one brother; and two sisters.


A visitation for Margaret will be held on Tuesday September, 27, from 3-6 PM at 
the lake funeral Home in Ionia. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to
