IN LANSING ---------- GRANDMOTHER OF LANSING QUADRUPLETS TO BE BURIED AT LAKE ODESSA ---------- Mary Katherine Morlok died early Tuesday morning at the home of her son John Morlok in Lansing. She would have been 86 years old on New Years day. The funeral was held from the Robinson & Barbier funeral home in Lansing, Thursday afternoon, the Rev. Krauss, pastor of the Emanuel Lutheran church in Lansing, officiating, and interment was made in Lakeside cemetery here. Deceased is survived by two other sons, William at Woodbury and Carl in Lansing, and 11 grandchildren, Mrs. Louise VanBaesslier, Grosse Pointe; Mrs. Anna Gascho, Holt; Mrs. Velma Bailey, Miss Leona M. Morlok, Walter Hetzer, and the famed quadruplets, Edna A., Wilma B., Sarah C., and Helen D., Lansing; and Florence and Richard Morlok at Woodbury. Mrs. Morlok's husband, Gottlieb Morlok, died over nine years ago. In 1892 they took their family and immigrated from Germany to the United States. Coming direct to Michigan they settled in Odessa township, on what was known as the old Crapo farm on the Clinton trail north of Woodbury where they resided until the death of Mr. Morlok. Mrs. Morlok had been a member of Zion Lutheran church in Woodland township for several years.
