Portland Review, Jun 1998

Velma M. Morris, 89, of Portland died May 28, 1998.  She was born in Danby 
Township April 10, 1910.

Surviving are daughter, Mary Lou (John) Tannery of Portland; sons, Harold D. 
(Georgia) of Holt and Larry E. (Nancy) of Portland; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-
grandchildren; brother, Roger (Virginia) Davids of Mulliken; and sister, June 
Kent of Grand Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest (1997); daughter, Betty 
(1959); and son, Howard (1972).  

Services were held May 30 at the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland, 
with the Rev. James Morgan of Kalamazoo officiating.  Interment followed Danby 
Township Cemetery.

Dialysis Center.
