He had been in poor health for some time and had suffered a light stroke a week ago. He had given up farming several months ago and with Mrs. Morris, was making his home with their daughter, Mrs. Forrest Dean, near Mulliken. On Monday, he had driven to Pewamo and had stopped at the barber shop of George Dilley on South Kent street on his way home. At the doorway he started to fall and was taken to the office of Dr. Harold Fox, nearby, where it was found that he had passed away several minutes previously. He is survived by Mrs. Morris; who was formerly Miss Pearl Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. Wm. Smith, of Danby; one daughter, Mildred, and two sons, Robert, of Mulliken and Ernest, who occupies the homestead on Mulliken Road. There is one sister, Mrs. Mervin Selleck, of Portland. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Bandfield Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. Wm. Gray, of the Portland Congregational church. Bearers will be Chauncey Guilford, Ernest Sandborn, Anthony Pitch and Walter Smith, with burial in Danby cemetery.
