The Portland Observer, Thursday, February 6, 1941

Ben Morris, who was a resident of Portland and vicinity until about fifteen 
years ago, passed away suddenly at his farm home near Williamston, Monday.  
Funeral services will be held at a chapel at Williamston at two o’clock this 
(Thursday) afternoon, with burial in Portland cemetery later in the 
afternoon.  He is survived by Mrs. Morris and five children: Cyril and Lynn 
who are married and Howard, Ruth and June at home.  Mrs. Melva Selleck and 
Bert Morris are sister and brother.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinsmoor, Mrs. Selleck and Miss Velma Selleck will attend 
the services from Portland.
