Hasting's Reminder - Saturday  April 2, 2022

                FRANCES ARLENE GOODEMOOT MORRIS

Frances arlene Goodemoot Morris was born November 26, 1935 to Francis and Ethel 
(Turner) Goodemoot. She passed march 25, 2022 while surrounded by loved ones.

Fran graduated fromLake Odessa High School in 1953. She then attended the Edward 
W.Sparrow Hospital School of Nursing. After which, she pursued a nursing career 
at Pennock Hospital (Hasting's, MI) where she had the great joy of welcoming 
countless babies into the world.

Fran expressed creativity through music, sewing, quilting, and bobbin lace.She 
participated in many groups dedicated to the things she enjoyed.

Fran loved singing and traveling with the Lakewood Area Choral Society during 
her 30 years' participation. A friend introduced Fran to bobbin lace making. She 
was then inspired to learn the skill and joined the Capital Area Lace 
Makers.This pursuit took her to Belgium to learn from Masters of the craft.

Fran regularly quilted with friends and family. And, if you were one of the 
lucky ones, Fran made you a quilt.

Fran will be dearly missed by her children, Steve(Chris) Shellenbarger, Suana 
(Ron) McDaniels, Mark (Tara Geror) Shellenbarger,and Beth(Mike) Johnson; 
siblings,Margot Bailey, Carole Reiser, Russ (Maureen) Goodemoot, and Ronn 
Goodemoot; and a wealth of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brother, Dennis Goodemoot and brothers-in-law, Don 
Bailey and Ed Reiser.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, March 30,2022 at Central United 
Methodist Church, 912 4th Ave., Lake Odessa,MI. 48849.
