Ionia Sentinel Standard - December 11, 1972

                              HOWARD E. MORRIS

A rural Portland man, Howard E.Morris, 35, of Charlotte highway, was found dead 
Saturday just before noon at his home. He died of asphyxiation in his car which 
had been left running in his garage.

Coroner Donald Leddick ruled death due to carbon monoxide poisoning.

Surviving are two son, Mark and Matthew of Portland, and two daughters,Merry Lee 
and Marjorie of Portland; parents, Mr.and Mrs.Ernest Morris of Portland; two 
brothers, Harold of Holt and Larry, and a sister, Mrs.Mary Lou Tannery all of 
Portland.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m at Neller Funeral Home in Portland. 
Rev. Carlton Benson of Portland United Methodist Church will officiate. 
Interment will be at Danby Cemetery.

Bearers will be Clarie Trieweiler, William Rowe, Carl Graft, Jack Feldpausch, 
Edward Scott and Al Phelps.
