The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, September 12, 1945

Miss Catherine Morrison, 81, died Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock in the 
Blodgett hospital, Grand Rapids, where she had been for several weeks.  

She is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Ray Townsend, route 2, Ionia, and Mrs. 
Lillian Thomas of Cadillac, and one nephew, B. M. McEuen, of Detroit.

She was born in Canada February 10, 1864, and came to Ionia 15 years ago to 
live with her sister, Mrs. J. J. Culp, where she resided until Mrs. Culp’s 
death several months ago.  Since her death she had resided with Mr. and Mrs. 
Ray Townsend.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Myers 
funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Hanson officiating at the services.  Burial 
will be at the Highland Park mausoleum.
