Mr. John L. Morrison, 70, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Sunfield, passed 
away Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001 in Lansing.

He was born the son of John L. Sr. and Chloe (Dukes) Morrison on June 26, 1931 
in Ionia.  John married the former Eileen Roose on Sept. 7, 1949.  He worked 
for 30 years at the Lansing Fisher-Body Plant as a supervisor in material 
control.

Surviving are his wife, Eileen; one son, Terry (Mary) Morrison of Richland; 
three daughters, Susan (Terry) Kemerling of Battle Creek and Brenda Morrison of 
Dundee and Sherry (Tim) Drake of Eaton Rapids; 11 grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; one brother, Earl (Bud) Morrison of Ionia.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visiting hours will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday at the Rich Street 
Chapel of Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.  Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., 
Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Les Potrafka officiating.  The soloist 
will be Mr. Randy Cherpes.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Sparrow Hospice Services in care of 
the funeral home.
