Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Mon. April 14, 1975


Edgar L.(Roy) Morrison, 85, of 413 1/2 West Main died early Monday morning at 
the Ionia Manor where he had been a patient three months.

He was born in Ohio September 19, 1889, the son of Charles and Mary Williams 
Morrison. He moved to Ionia and worked at the Stafford plant and the PM 
railroad before moving to Detroit.

In Detroit he worked as a stonemason in the construction of several large 
buildings including the Penobscot and Fisher buildings. He returned to Ionia in 
1934.

He is survived by a niece and four nephews in the Ionia area.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 pm at the Leddick funeral home. Rev. 
A.R. Gallert of the St. Johns Lutheran Church will officiate and interment will 
be at the Balcom cemetery.

Family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday from 2 to 
4 and 7 to 9 pm.
