Lake Odessa – Jasper L. Morrow, 76, died at Pennock hospital in Hastings 
Monday afternoon following an extended illness.  He had been hospitalized 
three weeks.  

He was born June 6, 1984 in Hecla, South Dakota, the son of Lemon and Ellen 
Meyers Morrow and came to the Lake Odessa are as a small child.

He had been employed at the Lake Odessa Canning company several years before 
retiring in 1964 due to ill health.

His first wife, the former Lelah Bretz, died October 17, 1941.  In 1948 he was 
married to Ruth Majinka and she survives as do a son, Veryl of Saranac; two 
grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Jackson of 
Lake Odessa and one brother, Howard of Kalamazoo.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in 
Lake Odessa.  Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
