MORROW Lemmon J. Morrow, son of Thomas and Susan Morrow, was born December 14, 1857, at New Stark, Ohio, and died at Butterworth hospital, Grand Rapids, on April 1, 1943, at the age of 85 years, three months and 17 days. He was married to Ellen Meyers on March 11, 1886, to which union were born five children; Jesse, Jasper, Mrs. Vera Sedore, Mrs. Ethel Jackson of Lake Odessa, and Howard at Kalamazoo. He leaves to mourn, besides his wife and children, on half-sister, Mrs. Will Hansbarger, 11 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He took up a homestead in South Dakota as a young man and lived there for 25 years, coming to Michigan in 1905. He spent the rest of his life in Lake Odessa, at one time running the livery stable where the Doty oil station now stands. He has been in failing health for several years but has been inactive only about two weeks. The funeral was held at the Wortley & Baine chapel Saturday, April 3, 1943, with the Rev. Donald J. Holbrook officiating. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery. Organ selections were "Beautiful Dreamer" and "The Old Rugged Cross." The bearers were grandsons.
