Beloved by Young Associates and Older Friends. Funeral Sunday Afternoon. Death entered the home of Dr. George Morse last Friday morning and removed the splendid young woman - his bride of two years. Mrs. Ann Morse had attended the auto show with her husband the evening before and is said to have retired about one o’clock, having had a hearty supper before leaving Grand Rapids. Apparently she was in good health and was expecting a baby early in the coming year. No thought apparently came to the young woman when she retired that she would never awaken. She was 24 years of age. When Dr. Morse found his wife Dr. M.A. Hoffs, their physician, was called and found Mrs. Morse had been dead about four hours. On account of no apparent cause of death being found it was necessary to call the coroner Harry Myers, who came with Deputy Sheriff Leslie H. Murphy. The body was ordered removed and an autopsy was held but no cause of death was discovered. However, cultures were taken for examination. Dr. and Mrs. Morse were married in October 1934. Mrs. Morse was Mrs. Ann Hanson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Kryger of Lansing. She has made many friends since her residence in Lake Odessa. She was identified with the Methodist Ladies’ Aid society and was a member of a young people’s bridge club. The latter had planned for a party and shower to be held for her the very week of her death. The funeral was held at the home Sunday afternoon. Rev. Leon W. Manning, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in the Morse lot at Lakeside cemetery. She leaves besides her husband here, her father and mother, a son six years old by a former marriage, living with her parents, and two sisters Mabel and Marian living at their home in Lansing.
