John Morse, 61, well known resident of Cook’s Corners, died Saturday night at 8
o’clock after a prolonged struggle to regain his health following a severe
throat ailment.  Mr. Morse had been doctored in the University hospital at Ann
Arbor and was there just recently for a check-over.

The deceased was the son of Joseph Morse, having been born on the farm where he
died.  Surviving besides the widow, Mrs. Nettie Morse, is a daughter, Mrs.
Gertrude Morse Sykes, living near Saranac, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Fales funeral home, this city, Monday
afternoon at 2 o’clock.  Rev. H. S. Ellis officiated and burial was in the
family lot in Otisco cemetery.
