Ionia Sentinel, 19 Mar 1974

A former Ionian, Mrs. Carrie J. Morse, 85, died Saturday evening at Grace 
hospital in Detroit.  She was born in Ionia December 28, 1888, the daughter of 
Wesley and Martha Castle.  October 22, 1906, she was married in Ionia to 
Charles M. Morse, who preceded her in death.

She had made her home at 618 Hackett until October 1973 when she went to 
Ferndale to live with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Roberts.

She was a member of Fist Christian church of Ionia.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Marion Roberts and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 10 a.m. in Royal Oak and interment was at 
Balcom cemetery, Ionia, at 2 p.m. Tuesday.
