Ionia Standard, 31 Oct 1884

Mrs. Marion Morse, the wife of Hon A. B. Morse, after a short and severe 
illness died at 10 o’clock p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 29.  Deceased was a daughter 
of G. W. Van Allen and sister of Mrs. L. B. Townsend.  She was a useful and 
beloved member of the Presbyterian church.  A loving, faithful wife a devoted 
mother, and a true and cherished friend.  She leaves a stricken husband, four 
sorrowful children, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her 
untimely death.
