Ionia Daily Standard, 4 Sep 1903

The funeral service for Hiram C. Morse, at the family residence yesterday
afternoon, was largely attended by old-time friends, and the floral testimonials
also gave evidence to the high regard in which deceased was held.  The sermon by
Rev. W.H. Macpherson was appropriate and eloquent with a feeling of human
sympathy, and the solos by Mrs. Brock gave the tender effect belonging to music
only.  The bearers were the two sons, Chas. H. and Harry, and Dr. A.E.
Cottingham and L.C. Worden.  Interment in Oak Hill cemetery.
