Muir – Dorothy L. (Doff) Morse, 86, of 925 Forest Street, Ionia, died November
20, in Mesa, Ariz.  She was born August 26, 1901, in Muir, the daughter of
George and Elizabeth Shaw  She was married to Clifford Morse; he preceded her in
death in 1965.

She attended Muir High School, from which she was graduated in 1919.  She
attended Western Michigan University and taught in Ionia Public Schools for many
years, retiring in 1964.  She was a member of the Muir and Ionia Presbyterian
churches, and spent her winters in Mesa, Ariz.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie Lobdell of Ionia; one sister, Mary
Marshall of Crystal; two grandchildren; and, four great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m.
from the Muir Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Robert Nixon officiating.  Burial
will follow in Balcom Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Muir
Presbyterian Church  Arrangements were made by the Hull Memorial Chapel of Muir.
