At 3:45 p.m. after an illness of nearly two years as a result of a stroke and paralysis which he received in November 1905. Mr. Morse was born in Jefferson, Schoharrie county, N. He moved to Michigan in 1866, locating in the then new country at Stanton, later living on a farm in that vicinity. In 1890 he moved to this city where he has always been a respected and honored citizen. Nearly two years ago he received a stroke of paralysis and for some time it was hardly thought he could survive it, but he gained sufficiently to get about again, although quite feeble at all times since the attack. A. Palmer of Jackson and Mrs. John Resely of Lockport, N.Y., are also survivors. The funeral was held at the late residence on Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock, Rev. D. E. Hills of Greenville, an old-time friend, preaching the sermon, and the remains were taken to Stanton Wednesday morning for interment.
