Beatrice M. Walker Mortensen, 83, of McBride, passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006,
at Metron of Belding.  She was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Riverdale, the daughter of
Nelson and Mary Brust Walker.

Beatrice enjoyed shopping, traveling, going out to eat and she loved spending
time with her family.

Mrs. Mortensen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence in
1980; daughter, Patsy, in 1957; grandson, Robert, in 1964; two sisters, Florence
Smiley, Mabel Alexander; and two brothers, Lloyd and Ken Walker.  She is
survived by her children, Bobby and Betty Mortensen of Edmore, Don and Diane
Mortensen of Pinckney, Ray and Becky Mortensen, Ernest Mortensen, both of
Vestaburg, Carol and Keith Omans of Riverdale 19 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie and
Naomi Walker of Mount Pleasant, Ron and Jean Walker of Edmore; and
sister-in-law, Pat and Merton King of Blanchard.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stebbins-McCullough Chapel, Edmore. 
Interment is in Ferris Center Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and
friends from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.  For those wishing to
remember Mrs. Mortensen in a special way, memorials may be directed to the
Parkinson Association.
