Orleans: Mr. John Morton one of our oldest and most esteemed pioneers passed
away last week, he had been ailing for a long time but no one thinking him
dangerously ill until just a few days before his death.  He will be missed by
both the young and old and in the post office as well as other places.  There
are not many of the old settlers left to tell when they came to Michigan and how
hard they have worked to get their homes.
