February 15, 1914 Beloved Lady Passes Away. Mrs. Benjamin F. Mosher Called to her Reward Last Sunday Morning After an Illness Lasting a number of Weeks. Funeral Yesterday. Was Pioneer of Eastern Ionia County. We were saddened to learn Sunday morning of the demise of Mrs. B. F. Mosher at her home in this village, death being due to a stroke of paralysis, which she suffered last fall, old age preventing her from rallying from the shock. She had been unable to leave her bed during all those weary weeks and gradually grew weaker day by day until the end came, just as she had often desired, peaceful and without pain. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon from the Baptist church, interment being made by the side of her husband in the Westside cemetery. Miss Mary Almary Dietz was born in Wayne County, N. Y., December 8, 1827, and passed away at her home in Pewamo, Michigan, Sunday, February 15, 1914, in her 87th year. She came with her parents to Michigan in 1845 and settled in what is known as the Goose Creek neighborhood, between Lyons and Portland, being among the earliest settlers of eastern Ionia County. In 1847 she was united in marriage to Benjamin F. Mosher and to this union were born four daughters, two of whom survive; Mrs. George Vance and Mrs. Chet Searing both of Lyons.
