Mosier, 83, of 3103 Palmer road, Orleans, died Sunday at 10:15 p.m. in Blodgett hospital, in Grand Rapids. He had been ill four weeks. A lifelong resident of Ionia county, he was born in Odessa township March 17, 1878, and was married in Stanton November 24, 1904 to Orzantha Cochrun who survives. Mr. Mosier was a farmer and a member of Greens Corners Baptist church. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Mrs. Burton (Maxine) Hill of route two, Belding; two sons, Clyde Mosier of Stanton and LaVern of Ionia; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Arthur Mosier of Belding. One son, Ford, died in 1943 while serving with United States Army in Sicily. Funeral service will be conducted at Huffman funeral home in Belding Wednesday at 2 p.m., with interment at Orleans cemetery. The Rev. Jean Crabtree of Orleans will officiate.
