Ionia Shopper's Guide, Sat. Feb. 27, 2021

Alice Marie Mosier-Babcock age 108 of Fenwick passed away February 19, 2021 at 
her daughter’s home. She was born June 10, 1912 the daughter of Peter and Rosa 
(Curtiss) Gallagher. Alice graduated from Ionia High School with the class of 
1932.

She married LaVern Mosier in 1937, they had two children together Kathleen 
Robertson and Richard Mosier. LaVern preceded Alice in death in 1978. She 
married Ivan Babcock in 1986 he preceded her in death in 1989.

Alice worked at Ionia radio station WION and later for Ionia Auto Glass until 
her retirement in 1988.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Jim) Robertson; granddaughters, 
Christine Sterner, Tina (James) Jarvie, Toni Robertson and Jessie (Robert) 
Clase; step-son Charles (Carol) Babcock; four great granddaughters, two great 
great granddaughters, 1 great grandson, two great great granddaughters, two 
great great grandsons, two step grandsons and step great grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and son.

Funeral Services will be at Shiloh Community Church, Saturday, May 8th at 11:00 
a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Sunset Memorial 
Gardens in Ionia. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at
