The Ionia County News, Thursday, November 18, 1926

John Meredith Mosser, 77, who died November 13, at his home near Sheridan, in 
Montcalm county, spent the most of his life in Ionia county and was well known 
to many Ionians.  He was born on August 11, 1849, near Portland.  In October, 
1876 he was united in marriage to Emogene A. Bivens, who died several years 
later, leaving him with two small boys, Roy, now of Detroit, and Fred F., now 
of Sheridan.  In November, 1890 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth R. 
Barker and to this union one daughter was born, Mary Lucile.  He is survived 
by his widow, two sons and one daughter.
