Ionia Sentinel Standard, 14 Jan 1964

Mrs. Clayton Mote, 64, died Monday morning at Pennock hospital in Hastings where
she was confined 10 days.  She was born in January 27, 1899 in Campbell
township, the daughter of John and Della Hooper Scott, and was graduated from
Clarksville high school in 1918.  She was a member of Pleasant Valley United
Brethren church.

Surviving are her husband, Clayton; three daughters, Bethel Mote, missionary in
Sierra Leone, West Africa; Mrs. Marion Willette and Mrs. Doris Sawdy of
Clarksville; one son, T.H. Mote; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley United Brethren
church with interment at Clarksville cemetery.
