Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. May 30, 1963

Mrs. J. Winifred Mote Passes Away
Mrs. J. Winifred Mote, wife of Dr. C.R. Mote passed away Saturday morning at
Pleasant Ridge, Michigan.

Surviving are her husband, a daughter Mrs. Howard (Marian) Law of Royal Oak; two
sons, David of Royal Oak and M. K. Mote of Drayton Plains and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Wessels Funeral Home at
Pleasant Ridge. Mrs. Mote was brought to Pickens Funeral Chapel around four o'clock.
Committal services will be held Wednesday at 12 noon with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.

Dr. Mote will be remembered as a former teacher in the Lake Odessa High school and
his first wife, the late Olive Gibbons Mote, was also a local High school teacher, a
number of years ago.
