NORA MOTE DIED AT HER HOME NOV. 12 Mrs. Nora Geiser Mote, who suffered a stroke of paralysis two years ago and who had partially recovered enough to be about the home was taken suddenly ill with heart trouble and died quite suddenly last Thursday afternoon. She and her husband Isaac had recently purchased the house on Fifth avenue that had been in the Mote family several years ago and had recently moved there from their farm home about mid-way between here and Clarksville. Mrs. Mote was born in 1877 in Dark county, Ohio. She was married to Isaac M. Mote of Campbell township September 21, 1902. For some time they lived in Battle creek then in Grand Rapids where Mr. Mote was employed by the postal department. In 1925 they moved to their farm home. Mrs. Mote was a past matron of the Eastern Star, a loyal member of the Woodland Church of the Brethren, and a woman of Christian character and refinements. Surviving besides the husband are three brothers, Harry D. and Frank Geiser in lake Odessa and Andrew Geiser at Ionia; three sisters, Mrs.Myrtle Rogers and Mrs. Annie Sease in Lansing, and Mrs. Stella Lowrey west of town. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from Calvary United Brethren Church, Harley V. Townsend of Woodland officiating. The music was by Mrs. Arthur Dodge and Mrs. Walter Hershberger.
