FUNERAL OF S.W. MOTE HELD AT M.E. CHURCH
Former Resident dies at Home in Hastings. Rev. Arthur Mote Conducts Service

Samuel W. Mote of Hastings died at his home in that city Friday night. He was a
resident of Lake Odessa until he moved to Hastings in 1923. The family have many friend and
relative in and near Lake Odessa.

The funeral services were held in the Methodist church here Monday afternoon,
conducted  by a cousin Rev. Arthur Mote of Detroit. Burial was in lakeside cemetery.

Mr. Mote is survived by the widow, three daughters, Mrs. Roy Thomas and Miss Letha
Mote of Hastings, and Mrs. Fay Allerding of lake Odessa, and a brother, Ulysses Mote of 
Greenville.

Mr. Mote was 71 years of age.
